Emily's Birthday Bash started how it so often does--in a wake up Daddy party. There's just something about seeing him smile through half-opened eyes in an effort to be excited at 7AM on a Saturday.
Em had been waiting all week to open her first present--it was her costume for her party. She wanted to be Jasmine. She made a very convincing one, wouldn't you say?

Oh, and a princess must have her slippers!

Sarah got things going on her Birthday Mobile as we danced around to Seven and had cinnamon buns hot out of the oven (thank you Pillsbury).
The Costume party started at 1:30. Here's the funny thing: I had sent invitation to her whole class, but only 6 people RSVP'd. And then we had the kids from the neighborhood. So I thought we might have about 15 people all together. After 20 children arrived, I realized that most of the kids had RSVP'd by e-mail, and I hadn't gotten any of them! Thankfully, I always have too much food. So more was merrier and Em got a Polly Pocket and Petshop loot!
